Using Power Automate to create Pirate Names using OpenAPIs Davinci model

Bacground: When recruiting potential pirates we want to give them proper pirate names. Pirates 365 is a service oriented platform, and the recruitment frontend posts potential new pirates through a Pirate

Our solutions is using Power Automate and the HTTP Trigger to accept new pirates

We are using the OpenAI (independent publisher) step found in Power Automate (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/openaiip/) since it is yet not so easy to get access to Azure Open AI which probably would be better.

We had to do some tuning to get a little bit different answers – at first it just returned “Captain firstname lastname”, but after some tuning by setting down the temperature from 1 to 0,7 and explicity saying not to use the word “captain” we got the desired result.

We are creating the new pirate recruits as Leads in Dataverse so the recruitment team can contact them for possible empolyment

Here is the lead created in Dataverse shown in the “Pirate 365 Manage”, ready to be qualified as a proper Pirate!

We aim for the badges “go with the flow” for using Power Automate Cloud Flows and “The Extstential Risk” for innovative use of AI

Is a Sharing Economy Possible Amongst Pirates?

To give is to achieve. But to plunder is life. So said someone on the internet, sometime, maybe… So how can you combine the two? The answer is to declare every gift a war trinket. We are not sharing, we are reverse plundering.

Behold, of our many victims, Herman from Pirate of the CrabIN:

A Conversation with Herman from team Pirates of the CarabIN on borrowing, versus stealing versus being allowed to use our cables.

A Story of a Battle-Scarred PirateBays on its Way to a ACDC2023

Ahoy there! Our pirate ship set sail towards ACDC, eager to win the ultimate prize. But, as fate would have it, we ran into a battle with a rival pirate crew on the way. The battle was intense, and despite our best efforts, we lost one of our bravest crew members and another was injured.

We were heartbroken, but we refused to let their sacrifices be in vain. We pressed on towards the ACDC, determined to win it in their honor. Our team was small, but our spirits were high, and we were fueled by our desire to do them proud.

As we approached the hackathon, we saw the other teams and their impressive setups. But we refused to be intimidated. Our captain rallied the troops and gave a rousing speech about the importance of never giving up and always fighting for what we believe in.

The competition is  fierce, but we are going to do our best. Our pirate-themed presentation was a hit, 😊and the judges were impressed by our determination and spirit.

Conclusion: So, the moral of the story is that even in the face of adversity and tragedy, it is possible to find inspiration and to keep going. We will work tirelessly to honor our fallen crew members and dedicate our prize to them.

The Orange Bandits Happy Camp

ACDC has always been and enjoyable experience that is filled with happiness, geekiness and a lot of learning! ACDC focuses on fun activities and creating a positive atmosphere.

And that’s definitely what we are bringing today!

This is a place where people are happy and content, such as a community or workplace that has a positive culture. And here are the Orange bandits showing up early in the arena (7:30) before everyone else!

Early delivery – DreamTeam

Pirates can now plan their raids with ease using our Raid Planning App. The solution includes features such as planning what city to raid, casualty reports, and resource planning. With an intuitive user interface, all of these tasks can be completed quickly and easily whether you are part of the ship management or the crew.

As a captain we provides you the ability to customize the app to fit your exact needs. The crew can set up automated notifications and reminders to ensure that all tasks are completed on time. This will make sure your next raid will be a successful one.

The Mutiny Appy

As a Captain on me ship The Moria (my first ship Lady Soria was tragically lost during a mutiny, fuck’en ol’ crew) I found the need to prevent further incidents. Arrrr!

An App (handy while sword fighting) to manage how to split the loot so the my crew, the Bastards, will be happy and serve me loyally and eagerly is what I will make.

Built on stolen tech, open pirate intelligence, and brut forcing powerapps I will control the pirate hierarchy and move my mates up only when necessary.

Our hierarchy consist of:
Captain (only ME)
Quartermaster
First Mate
Boatswain
Surgeon
Sailors
Captives

The app will also provide essential tools and games for my crew in order to keep them happy and informed during pirating. It will guide them through adult virtual entertainment and show them the way to the next rum bar.

Pirates Enterprise Resource Planning (PERP)

PERP is an ERP system(s) made easier for Pirates and for the mass. An ERP system helps pirates manage their business processes by integrating various functional areas, such as finance, human resources, and supply chain management, into a single system. also provide a centralized view of all the data and processes involved in running a business, so that pirates can make more informed decisions and operate and loot more efficiently.

An typical ERP system includes modules for accounting, finance, purchasing, inventory management, sales, and customer relationship management, and by integrating all these functions, an ERP system provides a view of a pirates’ operations, making it easier for captains to track performance, make decisions, and respond to changes in the business environment.

But hey, this not your usual ERP, this is a PERP, meaning that this will include other characteristics that are related to the pirate business. Such as a looting management system, tracking devices, systems and reports.

ERP implementation can be a complex and time-consuming process, but the benefits of improved efficiency, reduced manual labor, and enhanced data accuracy can be significant.

As part of our solution presentation, this PERP system will have focus on 4 pillars:

  • AI
  • Sustainability
  • User Experience
  • Scalability and integration

The PERP will initially include the following sub systems:

  • Pirate Fleet Management (PFM)

PFM is the management of pirates vehicles fleet. It involves the coordination and management of all activities related to vehicles, including enlisting, licensing, deployment (for looting), tracking, and drivers management. The goal is to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation of the pirates vehicles, while maximizing productivity and minimizing deployment time. This may involve implementing processes for vehicle enlisting using AI to make it easier and better user experience!

  • Pirate Resource Management (PRM)

PRM will help in managing the various tasks and processes involved in pirates. The system helps in automating and streamlining pirates’ processes, such as recruiting, onboarding and performance management. The goal is to increase efficiency and reduce manual labor, as well as provide a single source of truth for employee data and records.

  • Pirate Reporting System (PRS)

A pirates life is rough but to make it easier we will create an app which will cover different reporting needs such as live location reporting av ships and their locations, inventory stats, pirate statistics to be able to make training more specific for each pirate, reporting on how our predictive models are performing in terms of accuracy, but also the results of our predictive models to be able to visually see which ships and areas would be best to attack, weather data reports & ship stats to mention a few.

  • Looting Management System (LMS)

This is not your usual components/systems you find under any ERP. but for the sake of the pirates, the need for and AI infused Loot or not is important. This will help pirates to manage loot cases and support requests, including loot management, loot knowledge management, and (maybe) live chat.

Initial data model:

The orange bandits ideas drawing board:

The Basic Idea

We will be implementing PRMS (Pirate Raid Management System) in which we will fetch data from NAIS – a service providing ship type and positioning in real-time, in order to determine what ships to plunder. The ship data will be fetched and stored in Dynamics 365 as leads and from there we will qualify the ones looking most interesting with regards to a risk analysis done by Sales Accelerator.

Leads with high value and low risk will be qualified to opportunities (Targets) and from there our sleazy sales pirates will contact the pirate kings in the desired area to sell them this plunder target. Where will be sent a contract to sign and we will demand a deposit up front. When the pirate king has organized and performed a raid, we will take 25% of the loot.

In addition to PRMS, we will offer our pirates a Pirate Assistance app developed using PowerApps. This will guide the pirates to the correct ships in heavily trafficated Norwegian fjords.

In case of meeting a mermaid a pirate might choose to use his Rumglasses feature where an AI will help him detect if the mermaid is real or a manatee through image recognition. This might spare a drunk bastard for ages of humiliation.

For any HMS questions, Pollybot – a pirate’s best friend virtual agent, will make stupid answers to real questions by repeating your question 70% of the time.

With this plan, sketches and business idea we claim the Early Delivery and Show and Tell badge. Ahoy!

The Seven Seas are Even More Dangerous with this Crew Sailing

You and your mates are standing, looking out over your stern you see a ship. This is when you spot an enemy ship! It looks totally out of control. Every hand on deck. And is that a volley ball!? Surely these pirates are more like jokerates… They are ripe for a plunder!

His smooth voice is a thunder cracking the sound of the seven seas

But then, you spot it. The stunning Captain Mats with his firm jaw, talking smooth orders. But even the smooth sound of his smooth voice is a thunder cracking the sound of the seven seas. These are no ordinary pirates. No ordinary buclkeneers. They are Swaggrates, the swaggiest of pirates. They are The Hack Sparrows!

Meet the crew

Hello ACDC! We are pleased to meet you all! We are one of the lucky teams to join from Innovation Norway this years. Meet the team:

Mats, our captain with the chiseled Jaw and an expert in all things backend. He is a fan of the posterior for sure. When not creating the machines of eave that lurks in you server cabinet, he enjoys geting his sea legs moving on the dance floor. You will be surprised by the trick this man can achieve when given enough rum.

Solveig, our lady with a mind as sharp as daggers. Solveig does our AI and is the brain of the bunch. Also she is a 6b+ boulder and knows a thing or two about climbing masts and attaching from above with carefully planned accuracy. She also loves to bake and covers every room she enters with the pleacent cent of vanilla and cinnamon.

Henrik is our silent killer that works in the shadow realm of Office 365. He can create systems that furfill your life or trap you in perpetual torment. He also enjoy using his thunder legs to punt footballs through the horizon.

Tommy, our knower of every arm and resident full-stack. He knows how to choose the right weapon for the right attack, or counter attack. Other Pirates, look out! When not picking the right weapons for the seven seas hi spend his time among the turtles in perfect harmony, diving off the coast and snorkeling when on vacation.

Sebastian, our esthetical eye in the sky and swagger of cloth is responsible for making things pretty. But unknown to many, he deploys deadly tactics such as UX, design psychology and intuitive design to fool you into his traps, stealing all your coin! When not making things pretty he likes to snowboard down mountains, preferably those at edges any of the seven seas.

We are looking forward to work with you all in this tiny ocean that is Sorsalen-konferansesal at Soria Moria! Yarrrr!
