Sometime we all maneuver ourselves into bad waters. A zero sum game occurs when you are in waters with an advisory and there are only two options: Either you win the fight, sinking them. Or they win the fight, sinking you. A non-zero sum game however occurs when you both can be victories: There is enough booty for the both of you, and you are able carrying each-other to victory despite adversary.
The crew of @in1 and @in2 crack their skulls together to figure out how this ancient tech called Raspberry Pi and Arduino works. It all runs on flash circuitry, Python, hopes and prayers: Most retro tech there is tech there is.

A fruitful relationship
The story of Innovations A-team and their First Team was a story of the cut thought battle between two packs of pirates in pristine physical and psychological shape. However after their first love affair over the Raspberry Pi, Captain Øystein asked Swagger of Cloth Sebastian for his input on how badges work. They shared a long and fruitful discussion and are now great allies in this non-zero sum game that is the Arctic Cloud Developer Challenge

Working theory is that they need to cooperate and have fun.@in2 has put up a backlog to track badges. If anyone needs a visual representation, feel free to have a look.
The Orange Bandits is playing music to keep the good vibes going, not only for ourselves, but for the rest of the competing teams.
We are not sure we are hitting all the spots in terms of the music taste but we are doing our best to accommodate all tastes and REQUESTS. Yes, we are getting requests now!
Some times things just doesn’t go your way. So far we have experienced unexpected restrictions regarding the public apis we are using, the Dynamics 365 environment we are editing is constantly locked for changes and one of our team members had to leave us for the day.
It is in times like this we must push through and never give up! Thanks to my fantastic pirate crew that still keeps an awesome team spirit 🙂 The ship will turn, I’m sure of it!!! #bestbuds #happyteam
By this we claim the Remarkable Teamspirit badge! Yarr 😀
UPDATE!!!
This morning we plundered nearby islands and the reward was great. Our camp is now in better shape
To give is to achieve. But to plunder is life. So said someone on the internet, sometime, maybe… So how can you combine the two? The answer is to declare every gift a war trinket. We are not sharing, we are reverse plundering.
Behold, of our many victims, Herman from Pirate of the CrabIN:
A Conversation with Herman from team Pirates of the CarabIN on borrowing, versus stealing versus being allowed to use our cables.
Ahoy there! Our pirate ship set sail towards ACDC, eager to win the ultimate prize. But, as fate would have it, we ran into a battle with a rival pirate crew on the way. The battle was intense, and despite our best efforts, we lost one of our bravest crew members and another was injured.
We were heartbroken, but we refused to let their sacrifices be in vain. We pressed on towards the ACDC, determined to win it in their honor. Our team was small, but our spirits were high, and we were fueled by our desire to do them proud.
As we approached the hackathon, we saw the other teams and their impressive setups. But we refused to be intimidated. Our captain rallied the troops and gave a rousing speech about the importance of never giving up and always fighting for what we believe in.
The competition is fierce, but we are going to do our best. Our pirate-themed presentation was a hit, 😊and the judges were impressed by our determination and spirit.
Conclusion: So, the moral of the story is that even in the face of adversity and tragedy, it is possible to find inspiration and to keep going. We will work tirelessly to honor our fallen crew members and dedicate our prize to them.
You and your mates are standing, looking out over your stern you see a ship. This is when you spot an enemy ship! It looks totally out of control. Every hand on deck. And is that a volley ball!? Surely these pirates are more like jokerates… They are ripe for a plunder!
His smooth voice is a thunder cracking the sound of the seven seas
But then, you spot it. The stunning Captain Mats with his firm jaw, talking smooth orders. But even the smooth sound of his smooth voice is a thunder cracking the sound of the seven seas. These are no ordinary pirates. No ordinary buclkeneers. They are Swaggrates, the swaggiest of pirates. They are The Hack Sparrows!
Meet the crew
Hello ACDC! We are pleased to meet you all! We are one of the lucky teams to join from Innovation Norway this years. Meet the team:
Mats, our captain with the chiseled Jaw and an expert in all things backend. He is a fan of the posterior for sure. When not creating the machines of eave that lurks in you server cabinet, he enjoys geting his sea legs moving on the dance floor. You will be surprised by the trick this man can achieve when given enough rum.
Solveig, our lady with a mind as sharp as daggers. Solveig does our AI and is the brain of the bunch. Also she is a 6b+ boulder and knows a thing or two about climbing masts and attaching from above with carefully planned accuracy. She also loves to bake and covers every room she enters with the pleacent cent of vanilla and cinnamon.
Henrik is our silent killer that works in the shadow realm of Office 365. He can create systems that furfill your life or trap you in perpetual torment. He also enjoy using his thunder legs to punt footballs through the horizon.
Tommy, our knower of every arm and resident full-stack. He knows how to choose the right weapon for the right attack, or counter attack. Other Pirates, look out! When not picking the right weapons for the seven seas hi spend his time among the turtles in perfect harmony, diving off the coast and snorkeling when on vacation.
Sebastian, our esthetical eye in the sky and swagger of cloth is responsible for making things pretty. But unknown to many, he deploys deadly tactics such as UX, design psychology and intuitive design to fool you into his traps, stealing all your coin! When not making things pretty he likes to snowboard down mountains, preferably those at edges any of the seven seas.
We are looking forward to work with you all in this tiny ocean that is Sorsalen-konferansesal at Soria Moria! Yarrrr!
The Middle-age Mutable Ninja Turtles have had a turbulent ACDC. Starting off strong with a full team of five, they lost their two functional experts (Dynamics, Synapse, dashboards, low-code) due to illness after the first day. Left standing is a team of three coders.
As skilled and adaptive they may be, the developer team cannot be expected to teach themselves Dynamics 365 and functional Azure features over the course of a single day, so things were looking grim for the Middle-age Mutable Ninja Tuples as their functional guys had to tap out on Friday morning.
The functional experts were, however, heavily invested in the solution. And even stronger than their drive to deliver the best possible SOS response solution was their commitment to help their stranded teammates pull through in the face of adversity.
The two functional experts have made an heroic effort to squeeze functionality, blog posts and assistance out of every waking and vacant moment when health allowed it, which is a testament to the strength of the team spirit in MaMNT!
Inge-André ready to work on Power Apps after a few Power Naps.
Well, let’s all agree on something, this is a good old fasion LAN for us adolt nerds. And we love it! But, for us, it wouldn’t be a LAN without some good 90s music! That’s why we wanted to share this mood with you all Friday night! And yes, we saw both hands in the air, heads nodding a little bit more than normal to the beat, and legs mysteriously move to the music. Thank you all, we love being here and hope you enjoyed it (we know Ulrikke did)! <3 And, since we got several request fro the playlist link, here it is (yes, it’s called Øyvind 30 år, it was the playlist for that birthday): https://open.spotify.com/playlist/21bam2VESfvhlmNsZi0SDF?si=aa0660cc2e5d4d17
