Overview

We did briefly consider using Azure DevOps to manage our tasks and work items but… let’s be honest, that’s wildly over-engineered for a hackathon. We much prefer the feel of a Post-it between our fingers, the smudge of Sharpie on our hands and the small but mighty dopamine hit of moving a little square of paper into Done.

That’s why we’ve gone full retro and built ourselves a proper, physical Post-it Note kanban wall.

A physical kanban isn’t just about managing tasks – it’s about feeling them. Writing things down, sticking them on, shuffling them across columns and actually seeing progress on the wall beats yet another Slack ‘ping’ every single time.

One small issue; we just need to figure out how to recycle all these Post-its we’re using, hmm.

So here’s to retro badges and sticky note warfare. May your walls be colourful, your tasks get finished, and may we never, ever run out of Post-its ✌️
